Replacing front teeth with Dental Implants

“Sometimes front teeth do not develop – so this is what we can do to replace them”

Find out more about Dental Implants

What we did:

  • Replaced teeth with permanent dental implants

  • Placed porcelain veneers to tooth width harmony

  • Teeth whitening to brighten smile

In this case, my patient never developed some of his front teeth – these teeth are called the peg laterals.

It is actually quite common to have small lateral teeth or have them missing completely, but what was unique here was that the space of the missing teeth had been kept open (normally the teeth further back come forward to close the gaps)

My patient had come to the point where he was ready to improve his smile, but if all we did was to place dental implants, then we would have a problem where one side tooth would be wider than the other (by a large amount).

This would create a lot of disharmony in the smile, so we also placed porcelain veneers on the teeth behind the space, to help to even the tooth widths to create a natural looking smile.
